Born and raised in Utah, Ashley Wolthuis began her real estate journey in 1996, working at an appraisal firm in Ogden. After completing her studies at Weber State University with a BA in political science and communications, Ashley went on to get her master’s degree in development studies from the Universitat Jaume I in Castellon, Spain. In the early 2000’s Ashley earned her license as a Certified Residential Appraiser, and in 2005 founded Element Appraisal. That same year, Ashley obtained her real estate license and has worked full-time as an agent and appraiser since.
As an accomplished real estate agent with RE/MAX Associates – South Ogden, she’s garnered numerous accolades, including the NWAOR Top 250 Realtor Award every year since its inception, as well as the RE/MAX Hall of Fame Award and Titan Club Award. In 2022, Ashley was asked to be the keynote speaker at the Utah State Tax Commission’s annual conference, the first time a real estate agent has been invited to speak at the event. They asked her again in 2023.
From 2016 – 2018 Ashley served as the President of the Utah Coalition of Appraisal Professionals (UTCAP) and in 2018 Ashley was elected as the co-chair for the Board of Governors for the National Association of Appraisers, a position she held for over five years. In 2023 Ashley was elected to the Board of Directors for the Northern Wasatch Board of Realtors.
Her expertise extends to being a noted contributor to national real estate publications and studies. As an education instructor through the Utah Division of Real Estate for both agents and appraisers, Ashley is considered one of the top experts on teaching agents how to accurately determine prices for real estate. The classes that Ashley has established for the state include teaching on subject’s such as how to price complex properties, and the importance of understanding architecture when determining the value of a home.
Ashley holds the Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS) designation and is included in the Guild Status, the highest status available in the CLHMS.
Community involvement is very important to Ashley, and she is on the board of several local non-profits and organizations. It is not uncommon to see her logo on most community events as a sponsor. The community has supported her right back, awarding her such honors as “Ogden’s Best Realtor”, “Ogden’s Favorite Real Estate Agent” and “Weber County’s Best Realtor” awards over a dozen times.
